  • Sanskriti School organised a folk song competition for the students of classes I-IV on September 30,2014. Dressed in colourful attire the primary students mesmerized the audience with their skills and talents.
  • Sanskriti School had the honour of the visit of the Deputy Commandant of NDA,Maj.Gen. Ashok Ambre SM, on September,2014. The students had the opportunity to interact with him whereby they put up questions to him regarding his experiences during his Army tenure until now.His talk motivated and inspired the students to seriously think about a career in the elite armed forces.
  • From 10 September to 14 September 2014 Sanskriti School celebrated 'Hindi Week'.The school organised different literary and cultural programmes in Hindi like songs,dances,poem recitation,skits,street play,etc. to give the language its due respect and inculcate in the students a sense of belonging towards the language.
  • Akhil Sahukaru & Aryan Panse of our school won the Boys U-14 District Level Badminton ZP title held at Vidya Pratishtan,Baramati.
  • The Prime Minister of India will address school students on September 5,2014 from 2.30 pm to 5 pm.Its live telecast will be shown on different platforms of Doordarshan and the website of MHRD(http://mhrd.gov.in).Students of classes VIII to XI will view this telecast with their teachers in the school premises.
  • Sanskriti School organised a 'Ganesha Idol Making Activity' for the students of class V on August 22,2014 to mark the onset of the Ganesha Festival.It was conducted by VYUH.The object of the activity was to make eco-friendly idols with minimum materials.
  • Week-long celebrations of Sanskrit Week at Sanskriti ended with a grand finale on August 20,2014. This included a special assembly, a Quiz competition for classes VI & VII and sanskrit antyakshari for classes VIII,IX & X.
  • On August 15,2014, Sanskriti School celebrated India's 68th Independence Day with full josh,passion,pride and glory.The celebration commenced with the flag hoisting followed by the pledge and the National Anthem.The main attraction for the day was the Inter House Dance Competition where the students danced to the music of patriotic numbers igniting the passion of patriotism in everyone's hearts.
  • On August 14,2014 Sanskriti School organised a visit by the renowned and highly decorated mathematician and astrophysicist "Mr.Jayant Vishnu Narlikar".He was accompanied by his wife Mrs.Mangala Narlikar a mathematician herself.The students had the golden opportunity to interact with them where they put forward their queries related to Physics and Maths. Mr. Narlikar and his wife very enthusiastically cleared all the doubts of the students.
  • As an effort to bring the children close to nature,Sanskriti School organised a Tree Plantation Drive on August 06,2014. Students of classes VIII,IX & X planted almost 1,000 saplings in and around the school capmus.The activity was planned not only to make the students more environment friendly but also to know the importance of living in harmony with the local species.
  • A group of few students along with the social science teacher, attended a workshop conducted by TERI, on Friday August 01,2014 at Vikhe Patil Memorial School. The focus of the workshop was on recycling of TETRA packs and other dry waste. The students were told about the 'Project Search' being conducted by TERI in association with various schools.
  • Sinhgad Dental College conducted a Dental Check-up camp for all the students on July 28 & 30,2014.The doctors observed that majority of the children were aware of oral hygiene and followed it religiously.
  • Sanskriti School,Pune organised their Annual extravaganza 'Indradhanush'- an Inter school Competition on July 26,2014. Around 26 schools from across Pune participated in the event.The enthusiastic participation of the children from 'The Poona School & Home for Blind Girls" is worth mentioning here. Through the event planned under Indradhanush,the students were given a chance to excel,give wings to their creativity and bring out the best in them.
  • As part of 'Indradhanush- Interschool Competition' under 10 chess and under 13/15 T.T. tournament were conducted in the school on July 21,2014.Aryan Panse brought laurels to the school by winning the under 13 T.T. tournament.
  • A medical check up has been organised for all the students of Sanskriti School from July 16 to July 18 2014. A general and eye checkup is being done by a team of doctors from Rural Health Training Centre and Vasan Eye Care Centre.
  • In our quest to enhance the personality of our Helping Staff and educate them on the Dos and Don'ts, a workshop was organised in school on July 12,2014 on Etiquettes to be maintained in the school bus for our dear 'tais' and 'kakas'. The workshop was conducted by Dr. Vaishali Deshmukh. A pediatrician who runs the clinic '9 to 19' at Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital. She apprised them about the discipline and etiquettes that are to be maintained by not only the helping staff but also the students,while travelling in the school bus. A few role plays were performed by the helping staff and with it the workshop concluded on a positive note.
  • Nishant Raman of class IX (20113-14) won the NIE Student of the year competition and was awarded a trophy and cash prize for the same.

  • A session on vermicomposting was held for the students of classes 7&8 on July 05,2014 by Ms.Neha Singh of INORA. She discussed about the scientific aspects of vermicomposting highlighting the challenges of waste management and INORA vermicomposting techniques.
  • SANSKRITI SCHOOL celebrated EAT YOUR VEGETABLES DAY on June 17,2014 by organizing a salad making and decoration competition for the students.The students came up with innovative and creative to present their salads.
  • WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY, an annual event to stimulate awareness about the environment was celebrated by taking students of class IX,X and XI for a bird watching excursion to Pashan Lake.Children were briefed and guided in this activity by experts Makrand E Shouri.
  • The name Jayant Sathe is synonymous with creating and developing Japanese dolls. He retired from business to pursue his childhood passion by starting a small unit in Pune, manufacturing different types of dolls.He was spell bound in seeing the dolls collection at SANSKRITI.
  • Ms.Kimberly McArthur, the American author, visited our school on July 10,2014. She 'zapped' our young students of classes I to III with her prowess of story-telling. She also conducted a workshop on 'Creative Writing' with students of classes VII & VIII. We are sure that the tips shared by her will enrich our students creativity.
