Admissions |
The new academic session commences in April 2010. Since seats are limited due to small class size, admissions will be done on first come first serve basis.
Procedure :
- We believe that it is difficult to gain accurate information about a young child when interviewed in a new and strange setting.
- We emphasize on developing a child's potential, hence an interview is not considered as a screening technique where a young child is judged against a set of specific criteria.
- A meeting of the Principal and parents, where the parents get an opportunity to understand the school's philosophy and the Principal gets to know what kind of a school the parents are looking for.
- A Classroom visit where the child experiences the real life of the Class for two days by spending time in school and the teacher can observe the child within the context of the Class community.
- Interaction with parents seeking Admissions for their children are encouraged to talk to the parents who have chosen Sanskriti School, Pune (Affiliated to CBSE Board) for their children.
- Final Discussion with the parents to discuss their impressions or apprehensions about the school, its philosophy, expectations and parents future plans also. In short, we are looking for discerning parents who agree with our philosophy and have faith in it.

Curriculum |
The curriculum of our school is adapted and updated at regular intervals. It has been framed keeping the child in mind. We have used the NCERT books prescribed by the CBSE board to provide a broad framework for our curriculum.
Besides this we have enriched and enhanced it by providing children with varied
stimulating learning opportunities in the form of :
- Internet surfing.
- Stories, plays, music and dance
- Activities and crafts
- Projects and role plays
- Field trips and excursions
Hence the curriculum is implemented by encouraging / promoting the child's learning experience beyond textbooks.
The aim is to provide multisensory activities to concretize learning and make it more joyful.
Evaluation :
We have a consistent and realistic evaluation system where a child's competency
in a subject is not gauged solely by marks. The parents and children receive a detailed
feedback about the various skill sets acquired in each subject with suggestions
about areas which need to be worked on.
Educational Programme: :
Activities and curriculum are designed to :
- Encourage individual initiative and personal interests.
- Provide a creative, adaptive environment that responds to the individual needs of children through projects, field trips and multisensory experiences such as art, drama and music.
- Foster creativity, thus giving children the ability to achieve an internal balance between discipline and freedom.
- Encourage children to make choices so that each child is better prepared for the transition to an environment of higher education and the world beyond.
- Provide continuing opportunities to communicate clearly and openly with peers, teachers and parents. Thus communication is the cornerstone of our working and ensures that we are all in a partnership towards common goals.
- Train children to become self disciplined by providing a safe, supportive and happy environment in which they can have freedom to explore, cooperate, create and achieve.
- Develop a healthy and realistic attitude towards competition. We are aware that competition is an inherent part of life; to prevent negative competition we look for each child to reach for and surpass individual potential.
