On every Shravani Purnima, Sanskrit day is celebrated to highlight the importance of Sanskrit and to promote its revival. On 16th august 2022, Sanskrit day was celebrated with immense enthusiasm at Sanskriti School. Honourable chief guest, respected Dhanshree Shejwalkar ma’am, and the Founder Director of the school, respected Devyani Mungali ma’am blessed the programme with their presence. The programme commenced with the chief guest lighting the candles accompanied by the melodious singing of the Saraswati Vandana by the school choir. The school students took much pride and joy to display their skills and creativity to spread knowledge about Sanskrit through various performing arts. The school choir also sang a euphonious song about what the Sanskrit language is. This was followed by a skit which exhibited the importance of hard work in one’s life. The students put up an impeccable show, successfully conveying the message to the audience. After an amusing skit, there was an informational PowerPoint presentation which gave us an insight into the world of Ayurveda and its importance in today’s world. Right after, an energetic dance performance uplifted the spirit. The graceful dance told the story of how goddess Mahishasurmardini killed the demon – Mahishasura. After these breathtaking performances, the chief guest enlightened all of us about the various career opportunities in Sanskrit through her inspiring speech. Respected Devyani Mungali ma’am addressed us subsequently with a motivating and deeply heartening speech. The Sanskrit day programme concluded with a vote of thanks and everyone seemed to have rejoiced at the memorable event.
